Accelerated Drying Explained - Drying speed depends on air, heat, airflow, and preparation.

  • Dehumidifiers remove moisture from the air, helping wet materials dry faster.

  • Fans circulate dry air to reach all wet areas.

  • Heaters increase evaporation, especially in cold conditions.

  • Preparation helps: removing barriers like laminate, tiles, wallpaper, or heavy paint lets moisture escape faster.

During drying, keep doors and windows closed so dehumidifiers and fans can work efficiently. Higher air movement and warmer air significantly increase evaporation.

Choosing the Right Dehumidifier

Confused about whether to use a domestic or commercial dehumidifier? It mostly depends on room size and what needs drying.
  • Room Size: Small rooms like bathrooms or single bedrooms can usually use a domestic unit. Larger rooms or commercial spaces need an industrial or commercial dehumidifier to move air effectively.

  • Application: General humidity control may only need a domestic unit, but water damage from floods, leaks, or damp usually requires a commercial unit with stronger airflow.

  • Air Movement: Using fans with dehumidifiers helps circulate dry air and speeds up drying for all affected areas.
